Point of interest - Mosonmagyaróvár - Háromtölgy chapel

On the outskirts of the town of Magyaróvár, near the forest of Marktau, on the right side of the Black Forest road, along one of the access roads, in the forest lane, is the Chapel of the Three Oaks.

The date of the original chapel's construction, even at the end of the 19th century, could not be traced. According to oral tradition, a long time ago a shepherd boy fled from wolves to the oak tree, and after escaping he carved an image of the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus into the living tree, to which people living near Magyorod began to make pilgrimages. There wasn't a day that the people of Magyaróvár, Moson, Black Forest and Halas didn't come to pray at the chapel and its fountain in the shady oak grove, but it was also a place of prayer for processions in the surrounding area.
