Kimle is located 28 km from Győr and 10 km from Mosonmagyaróvár, along the M1 motorway. It was created in 1966 by the merger of four parts of the settlement, Horvátkimle, Magyarkimle, Novákpuszta and Károlyháza.
Kimle has 2 fishing lakes, both of which were originally gravel pits. The two ponds together cover about 2.5 ha and have an average depth of 2-3 m, but can be more than 5 m deep in places. The lakes are supplied by rainfall and the Moson-Danube and the water quality is excellent.
