The Ördögkő is a fragment of a Roman column that has stood on its present site since 1907. Its original location is uncertain. From the Middle Ages until the late 1800s, it marked the boundaries of Herény, Nemétgencs and Söpte, when it was also known as the 'Ticket Stone', and the surrounding area was known as the 'Ticket Dune'.
