In 9 AD, the future emperor Tiberius conquered Pannonia, and a military camp and civilian settlement were established in the area of today's Lébény.
Qvadrata, i.e. the Roman era Lébény, is located in the area of today's Barátföldpuszta, near the main road No. 1, near the 150 km marker. The almost exactly square-shaped fortress still rises several metres above the surrounding farmland. The excavations revealed the south-east corner tower, the porta principalis dextra and a section of the south-west wall.
