Point of interest - Máriakálnok - Holy Trinity Church

The earlier church of the village, built in honour of the Holy Spirit, was used by Protestants in the mid-17th century. The church, built in 1674, was already intended for Catholics and consecrated by Archbishop György Széchényi of Kalocsa.

The church had to be rebuilt after the Turkish raids and again after the flood of 1829. The large Baroque altarpiece depicts the Holy Trinity. The upper three-part picture shows St. Sebastian, St. Roch and St. Rozalia. Valuable Baroque works are the pulpit-rood-rood panels and the small group of statues representing the baptism of Jesus at the top of the baptismal font.
