Via Sancti Martin

On 6 November 2021, for the eleventh time, we will commemorate Bishop Saint Martin, our country's first co- patron saint, in a pilgrimage called Via Sancti Martini in Budapest. The main theme of this year's programme is the influence of Saint Martin on the universal Church and on Hungarian history. His message to the people of King Stephen.

The meeting and the lecture will take place at the University Church, also known as the Church of the Assumption, (7 Papnövelde u., District V, Bp.) starting at 9.30 a.m. Afterwards we will go to the Church of the Assumption in the city centre, and then to the Buda Castle to visit the Budapest History Museum, the National Gallery and the Matthias Church, where we will see the monuments of St. Martin.

During the pilgrimage we will observe the current national epidemiological measures.

This year's pilgrimage will be hosted by Dr. Levente Balázs Martos, Rector of the Central Institute for the Education of the Clergy.

The pilgrimage will be led by Tamás Szávai.
