The present church was built in 1910 under the rectorship of Endre Bányász, to the designs of the renowned Magyaróvár architect Béla Hőnel, with the support of the parishioners and the donation of Count Sándor Pálffy and his wife Erzsébet Batthyány. On March 1, 1910, the excavation of the new foundations around the old church began, and mass was celebrated in it until April 5, when the demolition of the walls began. The old tower was preserved and the new façade was added to it, with the small vase-shaped windows above the exits. The nave and the sacristy also fit together harmoniously. The church was completed by 25 September 1910, when it was already open for mass.
