In November 2019, the St. Martin Memorial was inaugurated next to the St. Martin tree in Hunyadi Mátyás Park in Kőszeg. King Ferdinand donated Kőszeg 490 years ago, on 9 November 1529, to Miklós Jurisics, who, according to legend, was helped by Saint Martin to defend the town in 1532. To commemorate this apparition of Martin, the Kőszeg Ostromnapok Association has placed the saint's footprint on a rock in the park.
