Stop point- Zalaszentmárton

.The village is named after Saint Martin, the patron saint of its medieval church. The first mention of the village of Szentmárton dates back to 1266, until 1299 it was the property of the Hahót clan.
In the 15th century it first belonged to the Szabari family, then to the Bánffy family. In 1403 the Ostffys became the owners. It was burnt down several times during the Turkish occupation, which is the reason why it was deserted. Its medieval church was also destroyed in these years. After the expulsion of the Turks, it became the property of the Abbey of Caporn. Its present church was built in 1860 in the neoclassical style with a frontal tower and a semicircular nave. The altarpiece, depicting the Amiens cloak division, was painted by József Krikler in 1886.
