A native of Dunakiliti, László Batthyány Strattmann was beatified in 2003. Also known as the "doctor for the poor", the ophthalmologist, who was also baptised in Dunakiliti, spent his childhood in the village. (The St. Martin's Way, another important stage of his life, also includes Körmend.)

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross was built in 1735. Batthyány Castle, built between 1858 and 0862, is now a primary school.
