Stop point - Potyond

Potyond is a small settlement, with only 107 inhabitants in 2010. The Lutheran bell tower was built in 1872 and the Lutheran prayer house dates from 1978. The Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Lazarus was built in 1884.

The village is known as Putund, Pugund, Pogand, Potthond in the documents of the time. The first mention of Putund dates back to 1256. It is probably a derivative of the old Hungarian personal name Poton with the -d formation. A Slavic origin of the name from the Czech Putim has also been suggested, but this is not well established.

Among its buildings, the Lutheran church (built in 1872 and rebuilt in 1978), the Roman Catholic chapel of St. László (1884, rebuilt in 1995) and the stone cross next to it (1875) are significant.
