Stop point - Savaria Museum

In the park of the Savaria Museum, the relief under the philagoria depicts Martin, who was attracted to the hermitage, and recalls the well-known story of his election as bishop:

Martin hid among geese when he was about to be elected bishop. The geese gagged to betray him and he could not avoid the task.

The snake and the dog and the dog are also mentioned in the legend of Martin: A snake once attacked a child playing, but he obeyed its command and crawled away. Then the saint said sadly: "Dogs and snakes listen to me, but people ....

The Savaria Museum was built on the initiative of the Vasvár County Cultural Association in 1908. The Savaria Museum's lapidarium contains the most precious relics of ancient Savaria, with many of the exhibits testifying to the presence of the early Christian population in the 4th to 5th centuries.
