Stop point - Himod

The first known document mentioning Himod dates back to 1408. In the Middle Ages Himod and the other settlements in the area (Pusztacsalád, Csapod, Iván) were part of the so-called "Pusztacsalád". "The area of Himod and the village of Povod and Povod belonged to the area of the so-called 'Great Forest'. The old forest area has been considerably reduced in recent centuries. The church of the Assumption of Our Lady of Himod was built in the late 1700s.
