The present village was created by the merger of three small settlements, Gyülevíz, Salamonfa and Zsira in 1931. The Rimanóczy Castle in Gyülevíz was built in 1739, is a social institution and its park can be visited with a permit.
The church of St. Lawrence in Zsira is a baroque building, while the church of St. Joseph in Salamonfa was built in 1882.
