Point of interest- Halászi - Church of Saint Martin

In the Árpád period, the inhabitants of the settlement were fish transporters for the royal court of Moson. Halászi has been a farming town since 1550. Its late Baroque church, dedicated to St. Martin, was built by Archduchess Maria Christina in 1777.

On the main altar of the largest church in the Szigetköz, a composition of the miracles of Saint Martin in a single picture, painted by Maulbertsch's disciples. The altarpiece is flanked on either side by a statue of St Florian and a statue of St Leo. The windows of the sanctuary depict St Stephen and St Imre. The pulpit is in Rococo style, with artistic carving. Near the bridge over the Danube of Moson stands the chapel of St John of Nepomuk, built-in 1895. In 1937, the inhabitants of the small village of Arak, which belonged to Halashi and was independent until 1934, built their church dedicated to St Teresa of Lisieux by public works.
