Nemeskér is one of the centres of evangelicalism in Western Transdanubia. The village was declared an articular village in 1681, the evangelical church was built in 1732. The pulpit altar, decorated with baroque wooden sculptures, is worthy of note. For more information about the church, visit the website of the Evangelical Parish of Nemeskeri. Between 1651 and 1786 Nemeskér was the seat of the county of Sopron, and the former county hall still stands today. The Catholic church dedicated to Saint László was built in 1739.
