Point of interest- Bősárkány - Church of the Holy Trinity

By the middle of the 18th century, 4 parishes in the Raba district had new churches built, including Bősárkány. According to local church documents, it was built in 1754 with a donation from Prince Esterházy and with the help of the parishioners. Even donations were made to help the holy cause. Thus, the visitator could rightly describe the church in Bősárkány as new in the minutes of 1759, since it had been built only a few years earlier. The church of Bősárkány was already built of brick.

The baroque pulpit is surmounted by statues of Moses and Aaron. Between them is a relief of the prophet Isaiah with a torched child. The 18th-century baptistery is an eight-sided rectangular basin on a high pedestal. Eleven pairs of benches are original and magnificently carved. In 1777, the parish priest of 'Wizscharkan' engraved a German text 'Vizsárkány' (English: 'Vizsárkány', which may refer to the village's location near the marsh and water) on the floral and rococo decorations of the pacifical (hand cross) used during the rites. On the wall bell-ring next to the sacristy is the date 1759, and on the oldest bell the inscription 'Bécsújhely 1763'.
