The park named after Antal Wittmann is connected to the university district. The park, which was created by regulating the Lajta river, draining the marshes and draining the reeds, is also the result of the work of the scientist-agriculturist.
White limestone protects a bust of the scientist Haberlandt Gottlieb, the founder of plant tissue culture theory, in Wittmann Park. The Triangular Chapel, near the Lajta Bridge in the park, was one of the stops on the pilgrimage to Mariakálnok.
